Easy snowshoe hike at the foot of the Eiger.

The starting point of the trail is the middle station Hollenstein of the Männlichenbahn. At the station exit, the trail starts immediately on the right around the building at the viewpoint. Then follow the edge of the forest downhill to the first alpine huts of Alp Rauft/Waldstafel. Here turn right and follow the forest road into the woods. Via a small rise, with a view of the Eiger, you reach the clearing of the Tschuggen ski slope. Caution when crossing the slope! In a large left curve, the forest road then leads into the "Underer Brand" area. From there, continue downhill following the forest road into the Vorsassi area. Now a slight ascent begins up the forest towards the Wärgistalbach. We cross this over a snow-covered wooden bridge. Along the right side of the stream, you then ascend to the forest edge. From there, you enjoy a wonderful view. The destination with the Brandegg restaurant and WAB station Brandegg is also already in sight.
