Scenic snowshoe route on the sunny slope above Grindelwald. From the bus parking lot in the center of Grindelwald, take the Grindelwald bus to Bussalp.
The starting point of the trail is the Bussalp restaurant. At the beginning, the snowshoe route runs about 300 m parallel to the road and the sledding path. Shortly after crossing the Bussalp stream, the trail branches off to the left and climbs via Paffenegg up to the Steessiboden area. A great descent follows over deeply snow-covered meadows down to Späten Boden and further to Rasthysi (restaurant). From here, follow the winter hiking trail via Holewang into the Nodhalten area, where the sledding path First–Waldspitz–Bort is met. Partly through snow-covered forest, partly over open snowfields, you reach the Bort gondola station via Ertschfeld and Niederbach. The trail can also be taken in the opposite direction.
