The Jungfrau Marathon grew rapidly from day one and is now the world’s largest mountain marathon. Around half of the runners are from Switzerland, with the remainder arriving from 50 countries on all five continents. The Jungfrau Marathon covers the traditional distance of 42.195 km, climbing to the foot of the Jungfrau at a challenging altitude of 1800 m.
