A winter hiking experience around the small mountain farming village of Habkern. At the foot of the Hohgant and the Sieben Hengste, where eagles and lynxes feel at home and the Emme originates, many impressive views await.

The winter hiking trail starts at the post office of the small holiday village Habkern and first leads up some steep stairs. After a short break, it continues towards Säge, with the opportunity to stop at several restaurants before passing the Habkern ski lift. Just before Säge, the path turns right into the forest after the depot. On this natural section, which offers many great photo opportunities, the silence of the forest is only interrupted by the bubbling of the Traubach stream. After crossing the stream via the wooden bridge, a short ascent follows, rewarded with a breathtaking view of Habkern. The trail continues through the Bohl area, past old, handsome houses, and finally over the Traubach bridge back to the starting point.
