- Start: Lägerstutz/Roteschwand, Lombachalp (bus stop)
- Destination: Habkern village (bus stop)
The starting point is just above the Jägerstübli restaurant, where the snowshoe routes are also signposted. The path leads past snow-covered fir trees, with the most beautiful view downhill, through the untouched winter landscape. Here and there animal tracks can be spotted and there is a relaxing silence. The winter hiking trail continues over the flat "Mad" passing sun-tinted alpine huts. Then it goes slightly downhill until the path becomes flatter at "Schwendallmi". Shortly after "Schwendallmi" the winter hiking trail merges into the road. From here you follow the road towards Habkern village or leave it after a few meters and switch to the snowshoe trail.
