Already on the ascent to the Niederhorn it becomes clear: this hike offers a magnificent panorama! Upon reaching the Niederhorn, the hike leads along the Güggisgrat through heath and moor landscapes with views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. Ibex, chamois, and marmots can also be spotted; it’s worth bringing binoculars. After reaching Burgfeldstand, the route continues on a partly exposed path secured with ropes. This section requires sure-footedness and no fear of heights. Alternating uphill and downhill, we now reach the Gemmenalphorn, whose 360° panorama invites you to linger. The path then continues over limestone rocks to the Chüematte, followed by the final section to Waldegg through an attractive cultural landscape with flower-rich pastures.
