Niederhorn lantern hike

Begin your evening with a delicious cheese fondue at the Berghaus Niederhorn before embarking on the winter hike, which lasts around an hour and a half. With lantern in hand, you walk from the Niederhorn down to the Vorsass midway station, surrounded by wintry silence and the sea of lights around Lake Thun. When you arrive at the Vorsass mountain restaurant, round off the evening with a glass of mulled wine or punch.

Travel by PostBus from Interlaken West to Beatenberg and then take the gondola cableway to the Niederhorn. Once you reach the summit, you can enjoy a cheese fondue at the Berghaus Niederhorn.
You then hike with your lantern through the quiet winter night to the Vorsass midway station. The hike downhill takes around an hour and a half. Along the way, you can enjoy the view of the starry sky and the lights around Lake Thun. Finally, warm up with some mulled wine or punch at the Vorsass mountain restaurant. Afterwards, the train will take you back to the valley in comfort.
