At the starting point, the STI stop Schwanden "Säge" on line 24, there is already an info board about the planet Mars. The hiking trail through the solar system leads through the "Wolfgruebe" to Jupiter and further up to the "Cherwald Sunnsite," where information about the planet Saturn can be read. The local forest flora is filled with the buzzing of a variety of insects. The well-developed forest road goes along the "Cheerwald Schattsyte" steadily ascending to the crossroads with information about the planet Uranus. From there, a steep path leads up to the "Blueme" at 1392 meters above sea level. The viewpoint is a popular resting place for hikers. From the 16-meter-high observation tower, you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the Oberland Alps, the mountains and hills of the Emmental, as well as the Jura chain. At the foot of the tower, a barbecue area invites you to linger. After enjoying a tasty sausage or a cervelat, hiking is twice as fun. The route then leads back to the Uranus info board. From there it goes down to the "Tschingelallmi" to the planet Neptune and further towards "Bruuchhubel." On the extensive walk towards Heiligenschwendi, the path goes through the forest, where a deer may occasionally cross the way. Before the bend over the "Schwendigraben," information about Pluto can be read. The hiking trail continues over a paved road (watch out for traffic) to the Bernese Rehab Center Heiligenschwendi or to the STI stop. More information about the planet trail can be found at planetenweg-sirius.ch
