Hidden yet centrally located in Matten/Interlaken, Chalet Verve is a Belle Époque house that breathes history and embraces the spirit of the times. Built in 1897 and carefully restored, the boutique guesthouse preserves its original character. Wooden ceilings, floorboards and the characteristic veranda reflect the craftsmanship of past times. On the ground floor, the communal areas Salon, Library, Veranda and Garden invite you to relax. Guests have space for socializing or retreating with views of the Jungfrau. In the morning, a breakfast with carefully selected regional products is served by a host team who live in the house and run the guesthouse personally.
On the second floor, there are four individually designed Standard double rooms. Each room is elegantly furnished and features a comfortable double bed 160 × 200 cm. The private bathroom with shower and WC is located on the floor. All rooms are accessible via the grand staircase. They offer views of the garden, the quiet neighborhood, or southwards towards the Jungfrau. No lift, no TV and no air conditioning. Ideal for guests seeking peace, elegance and the charm of a historic house.

The room rate includes Wi-Fi, a continental breakfast featuring mostly seasonal products from the region, bathrobe, slippers and drinking water in the room. Guests also enjoy free access to the communal areas – Living Room, Salon, Library and Veranda – inviting spaces to relax, unwind and connect.
Cancellation Policy
Unless otherwise agreed, the following conditions apply in case of cancellation or reduction of stay:
Up to 8 days before arrival: no cancellation fees
7 to 2 days before arrival: 50% of the booked arrangement
Less than 48 hours before arrival or no-show: 100% of the booked arrangement

Subject to other provisions, the guest has the right to use the rented accommodation from 4:00 p.m. on the agreed day of arrival until 11:00 a.m. on the day of departure. If the guest wishes to keep the room after 11:00 a.m., they must make a request at the reception. Depending on the availability of the accommodation, a late departure may be granted. Additional charges may apply.
