Over about 18 kilometers and more than 650 meters of elevation, the Bernese Oberland mountain valley presents itself with its extensive cultural landscape as a recommendation for active holidays. The varied mountain bike route leads through the most important alpine farming community in Switzerland.

Directions
The rather leisurely ride along the Schattsite to Grunholz until Egg once again showcases the extensive cultural landscape. Properly warmed up, you take on the most challenging section up to the rear Nydegg. From there, it goes downhill again on beautiful forest roads back to Tiermatti. The approximately 750 meters of elevation gain are completed.Â
Follow the red signposts with route number 916 – they show you the way.

Motorway A6 Bern towards Zweisimmen, 1 km after the Simmenfluhtunnel turn left towards Diemtigtal. Follow the Diemtigtal road 16 km upstream towards Schwenden to the former Gasthof Tiermatti.
A limited number of paid parking spaces are located opposite the former Gasthof Tiermatti.
By train to Oey-Diemtigen. Then by post bus to the stop "Schwenden i.D., Tiermatti" or direct arrival by mountain bike.
