The path starts at the village museum "Alte Mühle" and leads you over a wooden bridge along the Vita Parcours. The forest path passes the water reservoir and continues to the Rothenfluh castle ruin. Then there is a steep descent to the Tschingelmatte, from where it continues left along the Tschingelmatte towards the Schmidmatta rental pavilion. At the pavilion, you go left along the stream and over the wooden bridge again. The path continues over the valley and slab path towards the Unspunnen ruin, which you reach after about 20 minutes on foot. After the ruin, turn right at the main road and follow the street to Gerbigässli. This alley leads right uphill back into the village and to Bärenplatz. Through Bühlgässli you return to the starting point of your walk.

By train from Interlaken Ost to Wilderswil station. From here, follow Kirchgasse to the Hotels Alpenblick and Bären. The castle path goes left here towards Dorfmühle or right to the Unspunnen ruin.
The bus No. 101 also runs from Interlaken West to Wilderswil

Detour to the Rugenbräu brewery, which is only about 5 minutes away in the direction of Interlaken.
The visitor shop, called the "Genusswelt", offers a large selection of locally brewed beers.
