Lauterbrunnen, a world of waterfalls: E-bike tour from Interlaken

This e-bike tour takes you from Interlaken to the Lauterbrunnen Valley, past glacier rivers and through quiet villages. The electric motor makes the inclines easier, leaving time for conversation, views, and photo stops. Along the way, you'll stop for a picnic together before a leisurely return to Interlaken.

In the morning, you'll meet in the outdoor shop on the Höhematte in Interlaken. Your guide adjusts the e-bike to your physical proportions and explains how to navigate the route. Then it’s off along the Lütschine glacier river and through quiet villages, straight into the Lauterbrunnen Valley. The rock faces rise up on the right and left, with 72 waterfalls plunging between them. Electric assistance makes uphill riding more relaxed. This leaves you with the strength you need to enjoy the moment, stop, and take a photo of the Lütschine River and the surrounding mountain scenery. After around three hours on asphalt and gravel paths, you'll have a picnic break before returning to Interlaken. You’ll spend a total of six hours on the road and cover 28 kilometers with a moderate incline.
 

Requirements

You should ride your bike regularly and be fit enough for a whole day in the saddle. By law, the tour is only permitted from the age of 16. The maximum body weight is 125 kg. The tour is not suitable for children under the age of 16 or beginners with no cycling experience.

• Wear comfortable layers of clothes: the weather in the valley can change quickly
• Bring a small backpack for your camera or smartphone, along with sunscreen and sunglasses
• Helmet and e-bike are provided, and a certified guide will accompany you throughout the tour
